For my own brief life, I would rather embrace change than shy away from it. There’s simply more to see that way. However we must acknowledge that some change can be very bad, in all definitions of the word.
I would also rather strive for certain ideals than to not even bother. Even if you fail, there’s much more to learn that way. We must acknowledge that, from the standpoint of society, any sort of failure is very bad. Potentially worse is stating your intention to strive for an ideal, doing a bad job at it, then sticking to your guns and continuing to do a bad job. (This doesn’t apply to fake posturing or outright lying about one’s ideals— you can do that to your heart’s content and people don’t seem to care).
Putting these completely related ideas together leads us to conclude that Vegetarians should not use AI. I won’t go into the logical details, but this should be evident to any Vegetarian.
As a bad Vegetarian, I will likely be ineffective at implementing this ideal.
