Diablo 4 is terrible. The proof is very simple: add up how much time you spend actually killing monsters and compare that to how much time you spend doing everything else. This ratio is the worst it has ever been.
All of the accessory complaints flying around are subjective. Can a game have neverending features and microtransactions? Can a game be simple, easy, and thoughtless? Can a game mimick the mundane tasks of real life? Sure, who cares, if the game is fun. This isn't a philisophical or ethical argument about the virtues of how you choose to spend your time. Diablo 4 is more menu screen than game! Is excel-like a new genre?
