A review of Dead Space 2 by one of the people who most recently brought us Amnesia. I agree with everything he writes about Dead Space, but given the context, I immediately began to compare it to Amnesia. I think that Amnesia had a Lovecraftian plot that was too thin, a poor graphic style, two lame antagonist game mechanics, and featured puzzles that were not fun. The two games represent the cutting edge of the “survival horror” genre, from two very different perspectives.
