Which face looks more feminine? Which more masculine?
Both images are the same androgynous face except for their respective contrast adjustments. The image on the left has had its contrast increased while the one on the right has had its contrast decreased.
This may have been studyed already, but I wonder if gender has anything to do with art preference. Maybe men tend to like art with more contrast and color while women are the opposite? Of course this would be on average and the actual contrast difference between the two sexes’ artistic preferences very slight.
